Hi, All. It's been embarassingly long since the last Kay County update, but now that it's done, there's a LOT of new stuff. While I was working on it, I noticed a couple of things. There are many queries that for the same surnames. Just want to remind you to check the surname page. Besides those researchers who send a full-blown query, I have lots of people who just want their surname and e-mail address listed. I have multiple researchers listed for many surnames, and not just the more common ones. Secondly, we have so many names on the Gleanings page, it would be a shame not to check it. Finally, to catch ALL mentions of the surnames you are researching, be sure and use the Search form on the main page and to use as many alternate spellings as you can think of. Use just the surname or 1 key word for the maximum number of hits. And if you don't find it on the Kay County page, there is a link to the rootsweb global search engine. I personally try to do that at least once a month for my Hoisington ancestors. I find entries in the most unsuspected archive locations <VBG>. Good hunting!
