Hi, All. Sorry it's been so long between updates, but my computers have been giving me fits. Finally got them all straightened out and a much updated operating system, so they should be much more reliable. Anyway, there are many new queries and surnames added. Plus, a couple of really nice photos of the Freshman Class of Tonkawa High School, 1935, and the 5th Grade at Sunnyside School, Tonkawa, 1931/32. Enjoy! Robert, I don't know if this will help or not but it has a lot of good info on the land runs and Federal tract. You might find what you're looking for in it. Searching for descendants of W. M. Hedrick (1857-1929) and Harry Hedrick (1887-1977). Both were born in Brown Co.,IL. Came to Kay Co. in the late 1800's.
Because of Genealogy Shoppe, I am at times given articles that people purchase at auctions or found at homes that they have moved into...I will be sending several emails trying to get various articles back where they need to be..with the family. This packet of photos I am looking for anyone researching the Imhausen (Imhauser) family. They are taken during the WWII era...I will want to know the given name(s) that served and you are researching so I can place these with the correct descendants. If you know places stationed please include them. Thank you Kathy
Can anyone tell me if there are any of the Rhoades, Robbins or Sheridan families still living in Kay County, especially in or near Blackwell. I am looking for decendents of Philander Rhoades nd Horace Robbins. Wilda Ohrmund
According to my father-in-law, Max E. Rogers, who was born and raised in Blackwell; the Leslie Sanitarium was mainly a doctors office which also had hospital beds. My father in law had his tonsils out at the Leslie Sanitarium in the 1920's. By the 1950's, it had become the Ball Clinic when Dr. Ball took it over. Today, it is no longer in clinical use and is a large house with an extension on it. It was not an asylum. > -----Original Message----- > From: penny peace [mailto:PENNYPEACE@prodigy.net] > Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2000 1:19 PM > To: OKKAY-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [OKKAY] LESLIE SANITARIUM - Blackwell OK - 1929 > > > could anyone on the list help with info on the Leslie Sanitarium which > existed in Blackwell OK in 1929.
