Carolyn, My Tennessee families are: Armstrong, Duff, Moore, Raper, Veal, Breeden, Martin, Smith, Hicks. Some allied lines are Graham, Humbard, Tallent, Kinser, Hunt. Many of these families migrated before the Civil War from Greene/Washington Counties to Polk/Bradley Counties. I read somewhere that many Polk County residents came to N. Central Texas around 1880-1885. The Armstrongs, Breedens, Rapers, Duffs and Moores were among those. When Texas didn't pan out the way they hoped, they went to Indian Territory about 1894-1895. They settled in what is now Johnston Co. near Milburn (between Tishomingo and Durant). I am curious if you are researching any of these families.
