Carolyn, Our families must have followed the same paths. I've seen your name on Greene and Polk Co. lists. There was a census taken of Johnston Co. just before statehood. I think it was in 1902. It is available at the National Archives regional office in Fort Worth TX. There may be other places it is available. If you need a lookup, I should be able to go sometime in the next couple of months. I can check it out for you.
