Ben: I saw your query today on internet regarding Fairchild. For what it is worth. Back in the 1940 & 1950 There was a family of Fairchilds living at Roff, Pontotoc County, OK. They owned a Grocery Store. I believe the father's name was Lee Fairchild I don't remember his wife's name. They had three children as I remember. 2 Boys and 1 Girl. Boys were Dale Fairchild and the other one was called Sport Fairchild (nickname, I am sure) Girl was Cleo I think and I believe she married Elmer Young. Dale Fairchild is still living at Roff as far as I know. Mr. & Mrs. Fairchild, Sport and Cleo & Elmer Young are all deceased. Some buried in East Hill Cemetery, Roff, Pontotoc County, Ok.
