George Caleb Hicks was born abt 1829 In VA (maybe NC ?) He married Martha King. He died in Johnson Co OK in in 1899 and is buried in the Little New York Cemetery near Tishamingo OK. His daughter married James Lindsey Carpenter. They are living in the house with his parents Robert and Amanda C. Carpenter listed on the 1910 census of Johnson Co OK. Both James Lindsey and Lilly Carpenter have died by 1917. Three of their children are listed in the school records of Springtown. OK. Atoka Co in 1917.
