    1. [OKJOHNST] Romines Family
    2. Hello all, I am searching for William and Martha Jane (Loveday) Romines who moved out to Indian Territory in the late 1890s. They settled in Ravia, OK, which is in present day Johnston County. They moved there with 11 of their children, so there should be all sorts of descendants out there! I do not know when they died, but they were both listed on the 1920 census, so it was after that. William was born in 1847 in TN. Martha was also from TN. I wrote the State Vital Statistics for a death certificate search and they found nothing from 1920 to 1936. Would love to correspond with any descedants. And would love to hear from anyone with tips as to how to proceed. Jim

    3. Dear Dotty, You are so wonderful to take your valuable time to search for me! I know that there is still goodness on the earth! If you do get a chance to get back to the library, would you please check for a William Henegar (wife Ella) and/or James Henegar (wife Elizabeth). Unfortunately, I don't think that these are my people. Nothing in my searches have taken me to AL. But, you never know. Columbia Ann will most likely not be in any book unless she was directly related to the people and they knew of her name change. She is basically a "ficticious" person. Please do let me know if you stumble upon any of these names. Thank you so very much! Dona >Hi Dona, > >I just wanted to let you know that I went by the library yesterday and found >the Henegar book. 3. Hi Dona, I just wanted to let you know that I went by the library yesterday and found the Henegar book. The man's name is actually Lem Henegar. It is a very nice book and has alot of nice pictures too including Lem and his wife. It isn't very well indexed but mostly deals with Alabama Henegars. There are some from OK, TX, AR and others. From what I could tell I didn't see your Columbia Ann but will check further next time I go. The History of Johnston County book (as I found out later) isn't located at the Genealogy library, but at the downtown Central library. They have two copies, one which is for reference and the other one is for checkout (to my surprise) I will go Monday to get it. I will let you know what I find. I will also let you after I search the Henegar book again. This is the information on the Henegar book for your reference: "The Henegar Heritage" by Henegar, Lem and Mary Lou. 929.20973 H386h 1986 ( didn't get the publisher will next time) http://opac.tulsalibrary.org/search/t?SEARCH=Henegar+Heritage The Tulsa Library is online. You can search the genealogy holdings by following this link: http://opac.tulsalibrary.org/search/d?SEARCH=genealogy You can change subject to Title and enter the name of the book you are looking for in the Schusterman- Benson Library this branch has the genealogy holdings for Tulsa County. I must say they have a vast amount of information from all over the US. If there is anything more I can do please let me know. Would you mind telling me if it mentions a PERRIN MORGAN? I am researching his line, he is my great great grandfather. I know his wife is Emma Belle HORNSBY, and I know their children, but I do not know and am at a brick wall as to who Perrins father is. I've been told it is either Charley, or Thomas and his mothers name is Bettie. Any info on him would be so much appreciated. Thanks, Annie

    2. Mark Taylor
    3. My dear friends, Do any of you wonderful people out there have information on any Henegars in either the 1910 and/or 1920 census for Johnston County? Also, any other Henegars in Chickasaw Nation, IT in the 1900 census. The family names I am looking for are: (found in the 1900 Chickasaw Nation, IT Census) William Henegar b:8-1872 Ella b: 12-1871 d: 1970 in Malvern, AR Ruth b: 7-1896 Cleo b: 5-1900 I'm sure they had more children.... James Henegar b: 12-1846 Elizabeth b: 8-1852 Pearl b: 7-1888 Census shows they had three children all together. Pate Henegar - it is my understanding that Pate ran a dry goods store in the Milburn/Tishomingo area in the 1920s. Any information will be met with standing applause! Blessings, Dona It is
