Hi, **This message is being sent to the OKJOHNST mailing list.** The email address that RootsWeb has for the OKJOHNST list admin lindacb@flash.net is bouncing, so RootsWeb is looking to make contact with the list admin. Will the list admin please contact Andrew Billinghurst (billingh@rootsweb.com) so that we know that you are still maintaining this list. List members there is nothing for you to worry about and nothing for you to do, it is probably just an email problem for the person looking after the day-to-day management of this list. Thanks! Looking for someone who has a copy of the 1910 Johnston county census and doesn't mind looking up the family of William Leonard. If the 1920 census is available, I would appreciate that information also. Thanks. Barry Fox Greenville, SC
I am searching for a Vaught family that may have lived in Johnston County, Oklahoma. Herbert Vaught may have been living there when he died in early 1990's. Was Herbert the son of Edward Vaught? I am trying to connect him to James L. Vaught , born in Virginia, to Missouri by 1860 and into Perry County Arkansas by 1880. Edward Vaught and his family are found in Perry County Arkansas in 1900 and Herbert is about 7 years old. I can share some Vaught information. Wanda Family68@aol.com

Hi, I have just joined the Johnson Co. list. My name is Norby Williamson. My ancestors were in Hyde Co. NC in the early 1700s. Over the next 200 years, they migrated through Gibson Co. TN and Collin Co. TX. My father, Norby M Williamson Sr., was born in Mill Creek, OK, Nov. 19, 1919. My Grandmother, Sally Holloway Williamson and Grandfather, Grover Cleveland "Judge" Williamson are barried in the Cemetery at Troy. Some of the sirnames I am researching are Bowman, Wonble, Williamson, Holloway, and Pleasant Green Johnson. Elby Holloway farmed a farm on the Blue River in the 50s. His wife's name was Perl. They had two children, Terry and Ann. Norma Williamson and Charley Bond lived in Mill Creek most of my life. They were old 40 years ago. If you can connect with any of these people, please contact me. I know more about my family in the 1800s than I do in the 1900. Norby M Williamson Belvidere, IL
Thanks Ora! I will past this on to my Nations cousin who is a Fairchild. She and I are most grateful. All teh best. For what it is worth. Back in the 1940 & 1950 There was a family of Fairchilds living at Roff, Pontotoc County, OK. They owned a Grocery Store. I believe the father's name was Lee Fairchild I don't remember his wife's name. They had three children as I remember. 2 Boys and 1 Girl. Boys were Dale Fairchild and the other one was called Sport Fairchild (nickname, I am sure) Girl was Cleo I think and I believe she married Elmer Young. Dale Fairchild is still living at Roff as far as I know. Mr. & Mrs. Fairchild, Sport and Cleo & Elmer Young are all deceased. Some buried in East Hill Cemetery, Roff, Pontotoc County, Ok. These are not my family but thought it might give you some place else to search. Good luck in your research.
