    1. [OKJOHNST] How can I find J. H. Carter's obituary?
    2. James Young
    3. Can anybody help me what should I do? I am new at this researching. Okay, you have told me to order my great grandfather's death certificate which I did and it was not found. I need to desperately found my great grandfather's obituary or his death notice. John Henry Carter was born August 26, 1869 and died September 22, 1939, buried in Center Hill Cemetery. On his tombstone, it said he was born in 1867 which I think is wrong. If he live in Kenefick, Okla., what newspapers films should I look upon or where in the world who I can write to look up for his obituary. I have written to several funerals home in Durant and Atoka and only 2 had responded back to me and they do not have his burial records. Please I NEED YOUR HELP. I would like to know what funeral home that did the burial service and found his obituary. Would you help me? Thank and God bless you for you reading my letter. Teresa

    2. Michael, I have some Watsons that moved to Tishomingo area from Tennessee, but none from Arkansas that I know of. My main line of research is the Morgan line. My gggrandfather, Charles Thomas Morgan married Elizabeth Watson in 1881. Their son, Perrin, and his wife Emma Belle Hornsby show up on the 1910 census of Johnston County, along with his widowed mother, Betty (Elizabeth Watson). I have heard that many of Elizabeths family were already in the area. Her parents are: Perrin and Mary Watson, siblings born between 1835-1850 are:John, Onslow, James, Nancy, Sarah, Valeda(?), Joshua, Robert and Stanton. Hopefully this will help in some way. Annie

James Thomas Nicholas was born in Tennessee about 1854, and his wife Mary Angeline Watson was born in Alabama about 1854, James and Mary "or Angie" were married in Arkansas, I am not sure where but I believe in Benton County, Arkansas as all of there children were born there. Lillian Etts Nicholas b.1877 Benton Co., Ar. Margaret "Maggie" Lee "or Lea" Nicholas b.BDU Benton Co., AR. Laura Nicholas b.BDU Benton Co., Ar. Alice Nicholas b.1886 Benton Co., Ar. James Webster Nicholas b.1888 Benton Co., Ar. Lillian Etta Nicholas was my great grandmother. Lillian Nicholas married at Bee, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory 1895 Alonzo Carruth. And at Bee, Chickasaw Nation, I.T. in 1902 William Ross Williams b.1856, Greene Co., Missouri. William Ross Williams was 22 years older then Lillian Etta Nicholas and was supposed to have held her on his lap when she was two years old or about 1879. About 1890 James Thomas Nicholas moved his family to the area of Bee, Chickasaw Nation, in Indian Terriory, Later Bee, Johnston County, Oklahoma, and here he lived out the remainder of his life, James passed away in 1920 and Mary Angeline in 1929. Margaret "Maggie" Nicholas married Curry Barnett Teel at Tishomingo, Chickasaw Nation, I.T. in 1899. Laura Nicholas married Tom Stalcup at Bee, Chickasaw Nation, I.T. before 1900. Alice Married a man names Jones after 1910 James Webster Nicholas married Wanda Brown at Bee, Chickasaw Nation, I.T. about 1918.
