Seeking information on Mary E. CROSS who married Ruel WELLS on 2 Aug 1900 at Reagan. She later married D.D. WOOD on 12 April 1906 at Reagan. D.D. He was my great granddaddy and it is thought that he was born and raised in Johnston County. He had brother James David Jernigan, two sisters Flora and Lola. Great Great Grandmother died when Lola was about 2 or 3 years old meaning problably between 1898 and 1902. The children were split up. Lola went to live with Ann and Atlas Johnson of Johnston county and Flora went to stay with Betty and Ransom Godwin of Johnston County. The only connection I can find is that Ann and Betty were Jernigans before they were married and they were sisters. I do not know my great great grandmothers name or anything about her. They think that the boys went to stay with their grandparents, but again I have no information on who they were either.
