Hope there is someone out there to help us! Please post all replies to this forum so we can all benefit. Thomas R. harper moved to Oklahoma from Alabama, when it was still Indian territory in 1900, Wrays Chapel. The Harpers later settled in Fleetwood, East of Terral. Fleetwood was a small community consisting of a Post office, general store, blacksmith shop, cotton gin, and a doctor, named Walker. Thomas Harper was the blacksmith. He is buried along with his wife(Rebecca Palmer Harper) in an unmarked grave in Terral. Their children were: Nettie Harper DOB Oct.6,1878 Alabama(Married James Taylor Matthews) John W.Harper DOB July 3, 1892 Texas(Married Myrtle Loy) Molly Harper Harper DOB Feb. 18, 1893 Texas(Married Walter Hazlett) Jim Harper DOB Unknown Place Unknown(Married Willie Lee Loy) Thomas Harper DOB 1897 Texas Callie Caroline Harper DOB Nov. 2, 1883 (Married Jim William Fulcher) Bud Harper DOB Unknown Place Unknown Sherry Harper DOB Dec. 15, 1882 Hope we can all make some connections in this area. I have pictures of present day historical markers from Fleetwood that I can scan if anyone is interested.
