Becky...one station here in Wichita raised its price to over $2 a gallon. Someone must have reported it as by tonight they had brought their price down AND were giving refunds to people who had bought gas at the high price Found it amazing that while our gasoline was ranging $1.90 to over $2 per gallon, our son filled up in Houston this evening for a mere $1.33 per gallon. Being a military town, Wichita has had a few more restrictions than some cities. And, having a smaller airport than OKC and Kansas City, there were 20 additional planes that landed here today. That meant 1000 more people than usual. When they ran out of hotel rooms, many people opened their homes to the travelers. Some people decided not to wait for airports to reopen and rented cars to drive to their destination. The result? No more rental cars available! Thanks for the hot line number!
