I was so pleased to see this message! I've been researching the McManus's in Jefferson Co for a long time. I'm so glad you found me! I don't know of anyone else researching these folks. My Alice McManus married Elbert Martin Whatley. We are going to our Whatley cousins reunion this weekend at Lake Murray. It is just all the kid's, grand kid's, and great grand kid's of Elbert Seth Whatley, who was Alice's son. I would love to exchange information with you. My sister lives in Duncan. She and her husband both work at the hospital there. I live in a tiny town called Burneyville. We're about probably 60 miles from Duncan. Way down south on the Red River. I've never heard of your Ira McManus. Can you tell me how he fits in? I've got tons of information going back on the McManus's, but not much on Neil and Martha and their family.
