He was born March 4, 1907 in Northfork, Ar. To Robert Hensley and Allie (PIERCE) CASEY and died July 10 at Southwest Medical Center at the age of 93 years. The family lived in Arkansas until 1917. At the age of 10, Mr. CASEY and his family came through Wetumka headed for Texas in a covered wagon but were turned back to Wetumka because the South Canadian river at Calvin was flooded, preventing them from crossing. He married Mary E. HANKINS RAMSEY in Wetumka in 1930 and they moved to Oklahoma City in 1937 where they lived until 1945. He worked for Phillips Petroleum Company, then moved to New Mexico and Texas, working on irrigation pumps and ranching until returning to Hughes County in 1978. Mr. CASEY was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include a son, Huey James CASEY of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Norma Dee FIELDS of Croess, Ar.; a step-son, Paul RAMSEY of Seminole; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
