She was born April 30, 19067 in Center Ridge, Ar. To Minnie (STOAUBOUGH) and Samuel Taylor WILKES and died Nov. 1 in Holdenville at the age of 95. Her family moved to Spaulding when she was four and she graduated from Spaulding schools. After graduation she continued her education and received a master’s degree in education from East Central University in Ada. Mrs. MOORE was a Hughes county school teacher for 40 years. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holdenville. Mrs. MOORE was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Samuel WILKES; two brothers, Dink and Fred WILKES; and one sister, Jessie KIBBY. Survivors include her husband, Earl, of the home; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and many past students. Pallbearers were Stacy SIGMON, Steve SIGMON, Danny MOORE, Tommy NORMAN, Mark YATES, and Paul GRIGGS. Honorary pallbearers were Tom JANES, Charles MOORE, Harold LEEWRIGHT, Bobby SMITH and Roy YATES. Interment was at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
