Mr. Pidcock, 74, of Central Point, died Friday (Aug. 16, 2002) at his home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Providence Hospice, 1660 E. McAndrews, Medford, OR 97504. He was born on Jan. 17, 1928 in Holdenville, Okla., son of Thomas George and Thelma Pidcock. On July 23, 1948, in Medford, he married Joyce Currie, who preceded him in death. Mr. Pidcock had lived in the Rogue Valley since 1947 after moving from Portland. He owned and operated "Earl’s East Side Union" for more than 40 years, as well as the "Overnighter," a commercial fishing boat operating out of Brookings. He was also in the Merchant Marine. Mr. Pidcock enjoyed hunting, fishing, waterskiing and dancing. He was a member of Medford Elks, Eagles and Moose. Survivors include his mother, Thelma Sutherland, Eagle Point; two daughters, Earlene Stubbs, and Elaine Fish, both of Central Point; a son, Tom Pidcock, Eugene; a sister, Evylan Statler, Eagle Point; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
