SANFORD Funeral services for Harmon L. SANFORD will be held Friday, Jam. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Calvin auditorium with Rev. Gary DODSON and Rev. Randall MILLER officiating. He was born April 2, 1936 in Non to Homer and Thelma (JONES) SANFORD and died Jan. 22 in Calvin at the age of 64. Mr. SANFORD was reared in Non and Calvin and graduated from Gerty. He married Grace ELLIOTT on July 17, 1963 in Calvin and they began their life together in Holdenville. After the first year, they moved to Calvin where they remained until his death. Mr. SANFORD worked for Hughes County District #3 for 10 years. He later retired from the State of Oklahoma Highway Department. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and also enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and riding mules. Mr. SANFORD was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Thelma SANFORD, one brother, Lloyd SANFORD, and one son, Weldon SANFORD. Survivors include his wife, Grace, of the home; children, Sharla DAVIS, Teressa PATE and husband, Jim, and Robert SANFORD and wife, Tina, all of Calvin, and Eva PATE and husband, Jeff, of Wilburton; brothers, James SANFORD and wife, Margaret, Kenneth SANFORD and wife, Beverly, and Bill SANFORD and wife, Pat, all of Holdenville, Travis SANFORD and wife, Chris, of Jennings, and Orvil SANFORD and wife, Carolyn, of Crockett, Ca.; sister-in-law, Evelyn SANFORD of Non; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jerry TOLLIOTT, Richard TOLLITT, Gordon MCKANE, Eldon BRITTAIN, James SIMMONS and David MCCARN. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, south of Calvin, under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
