Tommy BRANNON officiating. She was born March 5, 1901 near Scipio, Indian Territory, now know as Pittsburg County, to John and Sally (PRICE) CATES and died Jan. 22 at McAlester Regional Health Center. She lived most of her life in Hughes County and was married to B. A. TALLEY on Aug. 17, 1919 at Lamar. Mrs. TALLEY was a member of the Yeager Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. A. TALLEY; one daughter, Ruby TALLEY; two sons, Lawrence and Johnnie TALLEY; one grandson, Till TALLEY; seven brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a son, Stanley TALLEY and wife, Melissa, of Stuart; grandsons, Bobby TALLEY of Stuart, Larry TALLEY of Ada and Darrell and Jimmy TALLEY of Toledo, Oh.; granddaughter, July TURNEY of Tupelo; eight great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
