Johnson ROBERTS and Rev. Rudolph COLBERT officiating. He was born Nov. 28, 1935 in McIntosh County to Alice (SIMMONS) and Jonas Lewis KANO and died Sept. 16 at Hanna at the age of 65. Mr. Lewis enjoyed salvaging old automobiles and gardening. He visited at many of the local churches, loved singing and stomp dances and was a ceremonial leader. Mr. LEWIS was a resident of Dustin for a brief time. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth LEWIS; one sister, Nahka CARPITCHER; and one step-daughter, Linna JACOBS. Survivors include his wife, Sissie (FACTOR) LEWIS of the home in Hanna; daughters, Frances LEWIS of Eufaula, Pauline LEWIS of Shawnee, Christine FIXICO of Dustin and Chippie LEWIS of Okemah; sons, Thomas LEWIS of Hanna, Sampson LEWIS of Henryetta and Harley LEWIS of Ada; step-daughters Linda HICKS of Salem, Laura BEAVER of Morris and Loretta THOMAS of Okmulgee; adopted daughters, Shelley JACOBS and Crystal JACOBS, both of Okmulgee; adopted son, Johnny (B. J.) JACOBS Jr.; a special grandson raised as a son, Mose LEWIS of Bentonville, Ar.; brothers, Sonnie LEWIS of Dustin, Bunny LEWIS of Hanna and Walter LEWIS Sr. of Henryetta; sister, Fannie BARNETT of Dewar; and several other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jeff FIXICO, Leo TIGER, J. D. HARLEY, Sherman HICKS, Smiley BARNETT and Ruben STARR. Honorary pallbearer is Billy HILL Interment will be at the LEWIS Family Cemetery at Vernon under the direction of Robert Simons Funeral Home of Henryetta.
