The Holdenville Daily News only comes out on Wednesday and Sunday if it was not in Sunday then it will be in Wednesday paper and in Thursday Hughes County Times out of Wetumka and The Holdenville Tribune on Friday. Them three paper will have the obituary in it. Each of the papers are 50 cents. Brenda

ASKEW was the daughter of Francis Marion "Frank" ASKEW (1846-1912) and his first wife, Mary P. DYER (1851-1888). Frank is buried at Green Valley Cemetery, Kiowa Co., OK. Ida ASKEW was b. ca 1874 in Johnson Co., MO. She md. an ADKINS. I have always assumed that he was the same J.W. ADKINS who purchased the ASKEW homestead in Montague Co., TX, in 1900. I have lots of data on the ASKEWs but nothing on the ADKINS family. I would love to exchange notes!

I'm looking for info on my great grandmother Charlotte Lucas, died Holdenville: 1914, supposedly the daughter of Ed and Anna Love, but we keep coming up Bennett. Also Was Tom Sexton that lived Holdenville related to you, he was a friend, and now i'm wondering, if he was related to my father Oscar Sheppard, son of Lucinda-Lucas- and Arnold Sheppard. Granpa Arnold Sheppard was the rock mason on the old courthouse and the Drugstore that had the tarrot, tower on it , that stands on the corner in downtown Holdenville. My grandmother Lucinda, was the daughter of Charlotte Love-Bennett- Lucas.
