We always called him Uncle Bufus though. I'm trying to figure out who your wife is but don't know it by the name. Anyway, on the back of Uncle Bufus' funeral card it says: "Rufus Busby was b. on 28 Feb 1911, in Walters, OK, the son of Thomas Busby and Martha Elizabeth Shelby Busby...Mr. Busby came to the Ninnekah area in 1925 from Duncan. He was a farmer and rancher. Rufus moved to the Meridian Community in 1941, where he lived the rest of his life. He was also preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and three sisters..." I'm connected through the Sitterding side. Don't know a whole lot more about the Busby side, although three of his children are still living in Chickasha. Good luck with your search!
