"A.W. Bennett Dies at Age 83 Funeral Services To Be Conducted Thursaday. Funeral services for A.W. Bennett, age 83, are to be conducted at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Chickasha Funeral Home by Rev. Clifford B. James, pastor of the Christian Church of Anadarko. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha. Mr. Bennett died about 4:45 o'clock this morning at him home, 1316 Iowa Avenue, Chickasha. While he had been ill for about two years his condition had not been considered serious until the last ten days. Mrs. Bennett preceded her husband in death here in 1935. Surviving members of the family include one son, Gordon Bennett of Kansas City; five daughters, Mrs. A. Petersen of Amarilla, Texas, Mrs. Clara Bush and Mrs. Ruth Gray of Chickasha, Mrs. M.O. Huntress of Memphis, Tennessee, and Mrs. Phillip Shumway of Houston, Texas; a brother, H. E. Bennett of Lamar, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchldren. Pallbearers for the service are: Active -- Fred Hansen, Don Bruton, J.W. Wylker, F.O. Clark, J.W. McDaniels, and Lee Hutchens; Honorary - Alfred Hill, Dr. O.S. Minnett, Dr. E. "Plan Bennett Service Here Rites to Be Conducted Thursday For City Woman Last rites will be conducted for Mrs. A.W. Bennett from the Chapel of the Chickasha Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock by Rev. Clifford B. James of Anadarko, former pastor of the First Christian Church here. Interment will occurr in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasaha. Mrs. Bennett who maiden name was Victoria K. Watts, was born in Missouri, February 22, 1859 and was married to Mr. Bennett, October 13, 1876. They had made their home in Chickasha for many years. Her death occurred at the family home here, Wednesday morning around 5 o'clock. Relatives surviving are her husband and six children: Gordon Bennett of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. J.A. Brush of Nowata, Oklahoma; Mrs. A. Petersen of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Ruth Gray of 1316 Iowa Avenue, Chickasha; Mrs. M.O.Huntress of Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Phil Shumway of Houston, Texas. A brother living in Greenville, New Mexico and a sister who lives in Yuba, California; fifteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers forthe service are to be Ferd Hansen, John McDaniel, H.W. Tobey, J.W. Wylder, F.O. Clark, and Lev Hutchins."

    3. Was searching through a past posting for Bennett, Noticed I am lacking much information on one of mine ! Billy Jack Bennett b.10/21/1927 d. 9/4/1985 buried Binger Cemetery. Would most appreciate Obituary or headstone photo if anyone is close. God Bless Lizzy
