Mr. Manning, 73, of Medford, died March 20, 2005 at Rogue Valley Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 15, 1931 in Chickasha, OK, a son of Waurika and Hattie Manning. Mr. Manning served in the U.S, Army. He was a retired owner of a used car and smog shop. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from Bakersfield, CA. On July 16, 2002 in Reno, NV, he married Myrna Ann Claflin who survives. In addition to his wife, Myrna of Medford, survivors include four children, Michelle Moore of Medford, Lonnie Manning of Eureka, CA, Dana Nelson of Columbus, MT and Chris Manning of Texas; two brothers, Harley Manning and Glenn Manning both of Medford; and five grandchildren. Arrangements: Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.

"Rites Held For Mrs. Swinney Mrs. Ida Mae Swinney was born March 14, 1875, passed away August 21, 1958 at Lawton Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 7 days. Funeal was held Saturday afternoon August 23, at the Pleasant Hill church with Rev. Elzie Perriman officiating. She was living with her son, John Gibson at Lawton. Other survivors are daughters, Mrs. Flora Burks of Ponca City and Mrs. Earl Nixon of Blanchard. Pallbearers were Luther Ward, Pat Ward, Floyd Adams, Gene Daniels, and Clinton Dunn. Interment was at the Blanchard cemetery, under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home."

"Funeral Services for John Baker Were Held Here Sunday. Funeral services for John H. Baker, 90, were held Sunday, August 8th at 2:30 p.m. from the Church of Christ in Rush Springs with Raymond Murray officiating. Baker was born May 26, 1881 in McClelan County, Texas and died Thursday, August 5th, at 11:55 p.m. at his home following a heart attack. He was married to Martha Leverett on December 4, 1904 in Montague County, Texas, and had lived in Rush Springs for 59 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Church of Christ. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Callaway-Smith Funeral Home. Bearers were C.C. Jinks Burnes Burns, Jim Leu, Glen Jones, M.L. Todd and Raymond Gibbs. Survivors include his wife, Martha Baker of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Margie Cloud of Rush Springs; one granddaughter, Mrs. Maxine Barrington of Rush Springs; 3 grandsons, Randle Cloud of Norman, Gary Cloud of Rush Springs and Douglas Cloud of Lawrence, Kansas and five great grandchildren."
