I understand when OK became a State in 1907, and what IT was all about. What I fail to get is why parts of Oklahoma (as we know it now) are referred to IT even after the 1907 Statehood. (ie: on one family document it will read as Indianola, IT 1914) (Which is now Indianola OK, Pittsburg Co) Is this just a mistake in the docs? My personal info/thoughts relates that Pittsburg Co in 1914 was State of OK. Was there still places known still as IT - Indian Territory after the 1907 Statehood, I guess is what I need to inquire about.

Surnames: Cemetery vandalism suspects caught Classification: Cemetery Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kYB.2ACE/1801 Message Board Post: Cemetery vandalism suspects caught Written by: Jason Clarke http://www.chickashanews.com/ The Grady County Sheriff’s Office is confident they have caught the persons responsible for vandalizing 21 grave yard markers at the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Rush Springs area. The incident was reported on June 21 and an investigation began by Investigator Terry Alexander and Captain Larry Crabb. In his initial report, Crabb said one headstone was set upright in the middle of the road as they pulled up to the cemetery. Deputies were able to pull viable palm and finger prints from the vandalized monuments. Those prints are still at the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for analysis. Undersheriff Irene Perske said media coverage of the vandalism increased tips and that it was through a tip given to Capt. Crabb that the two deputies were able to make a break in the case. The tip led them to Sterling Duane McGuire, 18, and an unnamed juvenile. In an interview with the two subjects, under Miranda warning, the deputies received confessions from the two individuals. A third subject, another juvenile, reportedly was witness to the event but did not take part. On Wed., July 27, a warrant was issued for McGuire’s arrest. The deputies wasted no time in retrieving the man. He was booked into Grady County jail approximately two hours after the warrant had been handed down, according to Perske. A notice to appear has been issued for the juvenile involved in the vandalism. Perske said the document is in the process of being served. Undersheriff Perske thanked the people of Grady County for the tips and their support of the deputies throughout the investigation. She also thanked the media for their role in helping get the word out to the public.

I have never heard Chickasha as Chickachee ---however, I did locate this on a website from a person claiming they were from 'Chickachee, OK'............so let's see how this turns out... BTW..I live in Chickasha, Oklahoma This was on a site communicating about Guitars.......... Overall: I am simply overwhelmed. Look, I work at a Marfak Auto Lubrication Center 12 miles south of Pawnee, Oklahoma, so take it from me. This package is simply "over the top" when it comes to features, sound, and fantastic appearance. I am thinking I might order one just cause I thing it would be a really nice setup to have. I highly recommend this product. The guitar looks kinda like a Gibson or whatever they call those old guitars which I hear are worth a whole lot of money.
