If you can obtain this, it would probably lead you to a funeral home which might give you even more info. - If I can help you further with your Oklahoma research, just let me know. - Pamela Stephenson

I do not know how to get ahold of the caretakers at the cemetary to see if they keep records or who does if not.. It would have been 1913 when Josie moved there so unless he traveled around to work or whatever he's got to be around there somewhere. I am beginning to think he's not dead :) Trudie

I do know that Jesse is on the Commache Dawes Roll with Mary J. Rheames, his 1st? wife. It is under Zimmer. They had a daughter, Nora Jane Zemmer. Then supposedly Mary died on the trip from Kansas to OK. Jesse had to have died between 1920 & 1930 so there has got to be records somewhere. I have written for a death certificate but they say there is none. Josie's obit says she lived in Alex for 30 years so we think that is where Jesse died. I have written to the Methodist Church via email in Alex but received no reply. Thank You again. Trudie

Nope, you can't search yourself. They take your order for birth and death records from a glass booth. At least they do in OKC. I don't know about the branch office in Tulsa.
