My wife had relatives that lived there. Her grandmother and an Aunt lived at the nursing home there for many years. Her father's sister lived there too. Carol and Jim Watson. Their kids graduated from High School there sometime in the 80s. Their son Jimmy was living there in 2000 when he passed away from Cancer. He's buried in the Tuttle Cemetery. Of course living in Rush Springs I made many trips to Tuttle for sports. That is until Tuttle got too big for us. I graduated in 69. Tuttle was just starting to grow at that time. McClain county is east of Grady county, so how could Waldon be southeast of Newcastle. The location I mention is due west of Newcastle. If you leave downtown Newcastle on Hwy 130 and head west, at Hwy 76, turn right, then left immediately after passing under I-35. Go 4 more miles west and you will be in the corner approximately where Waldon used to be. I was on that road about a month ago on my way to Tuttle which is 5 miles further west and 3 miles north (back to Hwy 37). And 3 miles north of Hwy 37 puts you in Canadian county on the other side of the South Canadian River. All I can figure is you have your map upside down. Gene

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kYB.2ACE/1858 Message Board Post: I was wondering if anyone remembers Waldon Township in far northern Grady County just west of the county line of McClain county. I live right near there and my father went to school there for a while back in the late 1930's or early 1940's. I just wanted to know if this was actually a town at one time or if it was just a school district. If anyone has any info please let me know.
