I believe that Gertrude Ladd Link was the daughter of J.B. Ladd who was the son of Martha and J.T. Ladd. John B. was born in Illinois in 1848, he married Margaret Wilson b. Jan 1858 in Illinois apr 6 1875 in Macoupin co., IL. Their children were Ellen, Harley, Claud, Farley, GERTRUDE, Bertha and Willie. I have Gertrude's son as Arthur C. Link.     3. Also check the Rush Springs/Sterling area for Samples. There is a Samples family that lived out west of Rush Springs near the county line. I'm going to have to search for it, but I remember that a distant relative of mine married a Samples.     2. Thank you so much, this is very kind. I can try and pull all this together now. These apeople are in OK somewhere and 2001 wasn't too long ago. Amazing to think that they probably don't know that there forefathers came from Llandudno in Wales in 1872, went to Colorado and this branch moved to Oklahoma. I would love to connect with them and I am in contact with there cousins a couple of times removed in Colorado too. Lots more digging to be done I feel!
