I did not know that my aunt Dois had died. I had a chance to talk to her a couple of years ago but never did get to meet her in person. I have two daughters 14 & 12 and been happily married for 16 years. It has been three years since I have seen my father. I hope that he is ok. I would love to come down there one day and meet all of my dad's family. I have never had a chance to meet them. My parents split up when I was a young girl. Please keep in touch. I would love to have her obit and that of her husbands who died in 1934 if at all possible to add to my family book. If there is any one in Grady County that will take a picture of their monument and send it to me, I will gladly reimburse them. Clura is buried in Block 35, Lot 43 S 1/2 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Her Father Marvin Luther (Luke, which she hasn't seen in 3 yrs.) was the son of Pamela Eakes. It is my understanding that Pamela died when her two son's very very young. Her sister Dois Eakes Rollins adopted these boys. Dois died this last year. There was some problems in the Rollins family about the adoption of these boys and they are estranged from this family, the best I can tell. My gr-daughter has no conection on her dad's side of the family. She is still a little young, but I have tried to gather information so if she wants to know about her father's side of the family I can tell her. I have done a little research on the Eakes, I would have to dig it out as it has been a while since I worked on it. I would love to hear form you again and hear anyting you would like to share. There were lots of Sorrells over in Love County, Oklahoma. However, I checked with my papers and didnt notice a Fred Sorrells. I am looking for the parents of Thomas Jefferson Sorrells, b.1873 and d. 1899 married Mary Frances Rubottom. Loretta

In the 1910 census Jane Sorrells, wife of Fred, is 51y old born in Missouri. Also in the household is Viola, Fred Jr. and Eva Sorrells. In 1920 Fred and Jane Sorrells are living along without any children. I think that Jane Sorrells was a Mannan before her marriage to Fred. I think she and Fred married about 1881, and Fred was her second husband. Is there anyone on the board who has information on this family? Thank you. Wanda Sloan Karnes

I have a lot of Stover's living in and around Chickasha from 1900 to the present. My Mother Helen Stover was born in Pocasset, Ok. I've read about Theodore Stover but don't have him connected with my stover line as of yet.
