They married 3 Sharp siblings in Lafeyette CO MS who were the childen of John A Sharp and Martha Ward. John Anderson married Sarah Elizabeth Sharp. They had 6 children. Ira Tillson Garner was one of them. He married Lavena Pearl Busby in Kaufmann TX and then went to OK shortly after Statehood. They had 8 children. They are 3rd cousin to my mother. As far as I know they are the only ones of my Garners that carried the name to OK. The rest stayed in MS.

I was hoping to find a relative who was interested in Genealogy. My GGAunt Sarah Howard married a James Garner back in Alabama Abt 1870 and she would be a descendant and I was hoping to find someone that had info on exactly when and where they were married. I think the Hurst post was located in Chickasha. My grandfather, John Looney Wallace died Apr 1946. In his obit it says he was a member of the Hurst-Beaton American Legion Post. He lived and died in Chickasha. If you hear any different, please let me know. Does anyone have any info on this post?
