When my freebie time for being a supporter of Rootsweb was over at the end of December, I spent weeks trying to log onto Ancestry.com without thinking...it had become such an important part of my daily searching for new records for the GenWeb pages my daughter and I maintain. Finally, I subscribed for the 3 month time package, and then just last week I signed up for a year. I used to spend that money supporting Rootsweb, and consider supporting Ancestry as serving the same purpose. Bill, I had a Knott's jelly jar for copy change on my kitchen window sill in Houston, and when it was full I would treat myself to an all day visit to the Clayton Library, back when it was still in the original building. Daughter Eireann, who is 20 now, learned to write in those days by copying all the Sullivans in the indexes of books...she said they MUST be cousins. I was the librarian of the gen library in Tomball at the time, but really looked forward to the trips downtown...8-) LaRae
