Born in Checotah (McIntosh Co.), Oklahoma, on August 11, 1914, to James CARGILL and Mae SCHAEFFER-CARGILL, she spent her early years in Vian (Sequoyah Co.), Oklalhoma. In 1931 she was married to Reverend William A. Starnes. She was preceeded in death by a daughter, Joyce Louise, and her husband. She is survived by a sister, Ruth, 91; four sons, George, James, William, and Roy; eight daughters, Betty, Dortha, Hellen, Nancy, Hattie, Mary, Juanita, and Linda; 36 Grandchildren, 33 Great-grandchildren; and 13 Great-great-grandchildren. *Anything in ( ) is my addition.
