OKLAHOMA GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY NEWS RELEASE DECEMBER 31, 2002 OKLAHOMA GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY MEETING JANUARY 6, 2003 "Did you choose the right grandparents?" will be the topic of the January 6, meeting of the Oklahoma Genealogical Society in the auditorium of the Wiley Post Historical Building. Nona Dugger Thompson will be the speaker. Nona is a longtime family historian and genealogist and recently served as the President of the Oklahoma Genealogical Society. Her presentation covers how heredity can affect you and how charting physical characteristics in the pedigree chart can help one see a medical pattern in the family history. The meeting will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wiley Post Historical Building, 2100 North Lincoln, Oklahoma City, OK. It is a general meeting, open to the public and is free of cost. Volunteers will be on hand at 5:00 p.m. to assist researchers who need help to start the search for family history or need suggestions about where to look next.
