I got this same thing and deleted it at once. The other day the suppose sender was cunninngham. I am only getting this from the OKGen. Everytime I send a message to the list the next day I get a message back with this stupid attachment virus. Now we all know that rootsweb does not send attachments so how do these get sent? these come directly to me in answer to an OKGen posting but only at the bottom is the Look at attachment. So my question I guess is how does it get itself attached to OKGen messages?
If you remember, I advised someone on this list to immediately delete any message that had a paperclip and the advise to look at the attachment. Today, I received a message from Cunningham, complete with paperclip and advise to look at the attachment. This message was sent directly to me, not via the list. This is a dangerous virus. PLEASE do not open any of them. This may be the wrong place to post such a suggestion, but at the risk of violating list rules I would encourage all listers to join another list that deals with this subject, along with all other viruses. It is called The Virus List and you join it just like you would any other RootsWeb list. It doesn't matter if you understand everything they talk about on that list, because I sure don't, but I understand enough to not open any attachments without first double checking that it actually came from who it says it did. You can learn a lot from that list, so please join and just lurk, read the other posts and save your computer from crashing.
