You can send off for the Military pension & service records to Mo., but it may not end up coming from them. I sent off for my great grandfather's pension records in Mo., thinking they'd come from Okla. as that's where he lived or in Ga. as that's where he ended up getting out at. But after months of waiting & re-filling out applications & waiting a yr. I ended up sending for his Spanish American War pension records to my State capital...in IDAHO (where I live).
