when I answered Ethels letter I hope I did not give the impression that I had the Land Allotments information.What I have is the two volumes of Cherokee Roots which is the index to rolls, Cherokee Dawes Roll Plus, History of the Cherokee by Emmett Starr, and Cherokee by Blood vol 1thru 9 minus vol 2 & 4. I have numerous other Cherokee books but it will another month or two before I will be able to do lookups in them. I would be more than happy to do lookups now in these books I have listed though. When you get several people stating something as fact, just need to find out *IF* it is fact, before putting it in a genealogy book that people will perceive as fact. You know how family stories go! Ethel, What kind of information are you looking for exactly? You don't have to use the info. that you find on the Roll's to get your card or whatever, you can use like your wanting...just for information. It's been a while since I have looked around the OKGenWeb pages. (sorry, :) ) Marti and Sharon Mc., those section-township-range maps are the greatest!! Especially since I had only the land descriptions and didn't know where they were located, except they were in eastern OK. What a neat idea....and a big help.
