Carole- Until two years ago-I had not read the Trail of Tears-it is not taught in American History classes. MANY American people have NO idea as to what took place. It is not something the American History /Government , wants taught in our education system, for obvious reasons. So if someone, even quite by accident, learns, now, yesterday, or tomorrow- it is knowledge that should encouraged. I am glad you saw the video. It was taught in my high school in Oklahoma and there is a lot more to the story than they could put into a video.
