At the estimated time of Susan Marley's death, it was still Oklahoma Territory, and that area the Chickasaw Nation, so I need to be guided - as you have done - since I have just moved into the state to do some of this research. First Oklahoma does not have a death index and second the state didn't require the reporting until a year after statehood and it wasn't enacted into a law until 1917. Some counties didn't fully comply until the late 1920s.
