In 1898 shortly after she married Ed Chalmers they were murdered by a mob. The Newspaper articles covering the incident said their residence was in Indian Territory on the outskirts of Wybark. The earliest record we have of him is the 1900 census where he was listed with his Uncle Lewis Headley and Grandmother Sarah (Spencer) Headley. In 1915 he enlisted in the army as Albert Headley.
