I am researching this on behalf of a friend whose sister died in this unfortunate tragedy. He was quite young at the time and has lost all information pertaining to the death. The girl in question was June Lang from Glasgow in Scotland who was travelling with a girlfriend, Carol Orr, and Carol's boyfriend, a German by the name of Peter Mueler (?). They were driving to California ffrom New York and had stopped at a recreation area to swim in a lake. He thinks it was an Indian Reservation but that is all he has at this time.
