Central, Suite 300, Medford, OR 97501. She was born Sept. 21, 1923, in Henryetta, OK. She moved to Ashland in 1982 from Loma Prieta, CA. She had also lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in recent years. Ms. Ben-Lesser was a writer. She was the author of "The Foxy Old Woman's Guide to Travelling Alone" She enjoyed travel, as well as life-long learning. Survivors include her former husband, Mathew Ben-Lesser, Ashland; a daughter, Claire Anchick, Gold Hill; a son, Carter Croley, Sebastopol, CA; a sister, Eva Rae LaGrande, Ponca City, OK; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.     3. The Oklahoma Historical soceity. It's the first building southeast of the state capital on Lincoln Blvd. Park on the east side of the building and go in the back door. Newspaper archives were downstairs last time I was there. They have microfilmed most of the state newspapers. To find if the ones you are looking for have been archived. Go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/ and click on the newspaper link in the table. Then look for links to the Oklahoma Historical Society.     2. Does anyone have a contact for Garvin County research? I am looking for a burial site for John ANKROM, died in Pauls Valley, Garvin Co., OK, 28 Nov 1911. His widow was Mary Elizabeth (Kirk) ANKROM who died at Perkins in Payne Co., OK 16 Dec 1921. I have not yet asked the County Courthouse for a possible probate record on either one of these individuals.     3. We are looking for a Hiram Loshbaugh that was said to have died in a sawmill accident in Sept of 1894. The only clue we have that it might have happened in OK. Is the fact that his youngest son Louie Loshbaugh was said to have been born in OK.in 1892 He was married to Almira Robinson, who might have been indian or part indian. That is all the clues we have.
