The Oklahoma Historical soceity. It's the first building southeast of the state capital on Lincoln Blvd. Park on the east side of the building and go in the back door. Newspaper archives were downstairs last time I was there. They have microfilmed most of the state newspapers. To find if the ones you are looking for have been archived. Does anyone have a contact for Garvin County research? I am looking for a burial site for John ANKROM, died in Pauls Valley, Garvin Co., OK, 28 Nov 1911. His widow was Mary Elizabeth (Kirk) ANKROM who died at Perkins in Payne Co., OK 16 Dec 1921. I have not yet asked the County Courthouse for a possible probate record on either one of these individuals. We are looking for a Hiram Loshbaugh that was said to have died in a sawmill accident in Sept of 1894. The only clue we have that it might have happened in OK.
