    2. Jack, Is it still storming in OKC? I haven't talked to Dad this week, yet. Do I need to be concerned? Paula/Oregon

    1. [OKGEN ] RE: Where is everyone
    2. Yeah, we're just now beginning to see a little sunshine here in Portland, but the wind is cool. Living on our boat, there is no yard work and my flower planters are still blooming from last year. Maple tree is leafing out---- Only real outside work we have is the teak rail cap and wax the boat for the season. Weather won't allow that yet though--- Paula

    2. Angela, I hope your not in the mist of tornados. That makes sense that you'd have problems staying on line. Take care and be careful---- Paula/Oregon

    1. [OKGEN ] Paula/Oregon where is everyone
    2. Paula, It's 85 degrees and the sun is shining warm in TN. Almost everyone on my lists seem to be out enjoying it while it lasts. Forecasters are saying its going to get cold again next week. Sharon

    1. Re: [OKGEN ] Where is everyone????
    2. Yeah Buddy. Wind blowing down the plains and we are outside getting new hairdo's. Pretty outside for sure, the dog has to be drug in at night. I almost moved my bed out into the front yard. I thought of my neighbors before I moved it though. That is why it is still in my bedroom. I am here in spirit but not body or mind, am leaving for the yard instead of the Internet now. Tina Knapp

    3. InfoBeat News - Morning Coffee Edition - 4/11/2001 Slave cemetery near Jefferson home CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - For the first time, archaeologists have unearthed what they believe to be a cemetery of slaves owned by Thomas Jefferson and buried outside the home of the third president. The burial plots were found on the grounds of Monticello, said Daniel Jordan, president of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, which owns and manages the 5,000-acre estate. "It's been a long-standing goal ... to determine where slaves were buried, and we believe we have now found one such location," Jordan said Tuesday. From 1783 to Jefferson's death on July 4, 1826, between 90 and 140 slaves lived at Monticello at any one time, half of them children. After his death, 126 slaves were sold at auction. Archaeologists believe the cemetery, located on a relatively flat tract of wooded land about 2,000 feet from the main house, holds between 40 and 110 graves. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I thought this interesting ... hope you do too!?
