[ A GOOD reason to do genealogy and keep family history, asses risk of major health problems. ] My grandfather was an alcoholic, so that complicated the situation with a bad liver also. My grandmother died of lung cancer, but her heart was in good condition [ considering ]. My father is alive and doing well in his late seventies after bypass surgery and four major heart attacks, the last one they gave him the "last chance" shot. I take reasonably good care of myself, without being a fanatic about it, but my chances are high that I will inherit the problem. My one concern is that I live alone and a ways out in the country [ love it out here ], so if I have a big heart attack my chances of surviving it are very slim. I fully intend to live a LONG time yet, but I have to be a realist also. Its all in the hands of God [ or fate, or whatever ] and when I stand for judgment I hope that He will find something in my life that is worthwhile. That's also a reason for my signature file. You never know when the last time you will see someone is, so if you love them tell them so. (o:]>* Huggles *<[:o) Billie The three best words in the English Language: "I LOVE YOU" Pass them on!

    3. Billie: The move is a good idea. We have so trouble w/some of the sites we use for our genealogy, etc. and Rootsweb seems to be real stable. You've done good on the cookbooks. I remember when the group decided you would be the perfect person to handle it and you know what, we were right. If anyone would like me to look for someone, take a picture, and send let me know the name(s). I will use my Sony Digital and email the pictures requested. That way if you don't like the picture no wasted paper, ink, or postage. I can't promise I won't laugh at the picture when I see them so......... please don't hold that against me. 3. I am fine, but life is uncertain at best. I had two grandfathers that died in their 60's, but there were other bad influences, and my father had his first major heart attack just a little older than I am [ his problem is genetic ]. One grandmother died of lung cancer in her late 70's and the other died of colon cancer in her mid 90's. I hope to have a long and happy life. 3. Thank you. I have little information on my Birds. I have a PHEBE BIRD marrying my RUSHAN LANE in 1817 in Putnam GA. I'm guessing that her mother was Susannah and her brother may have been PUGH/PEW. I'm sorry I have so little. I think Phebe died between 1830-5 and her husband remarried a Bachelor andmoved to Chickasaw MS. Thanks again.
