www.firstfamilies.org/db worked great for me ... thank you for the site. Also, Sylvia, Becky and I are very familiar with each other. I found her once upon a time [long time before registering with OKGEN] and we too feel that there could be a connection with the families, it's just finding them. Jacque Hopkins too, she's connected to the very family I'm trying to find a connection with of YORK's. Shelia TRIMBLE, SMITH, BAKER, HOLDREN, McCOY, SHIMER, LANTZ HARBISON, MITCHELL, VAUGHT, YORK, HATFIELD, EMERY, TWEEDLE BACHELDER, AUDET, MERRIMAN, SIMS, COPELAND, 3 tribes of Indians too.
Change the spelling in the URL - families -- whoever started this left out an i. LP

But I took the last two letters off and put it in a search engine and I found it that way. Lois

I am looking for information on Mathilda Skeen (Husband Cicero A Skeen) from Wapanucka OK....MP Skeen and Pocahontas and Emanual Bellew. I was told that Edward Bellew was a Mercantile owner in Wapanucka, who would have been Emanuel Bellew's father. Also checking for Info on M P Skeen...possible a doctor. Don't know if it is true...but have been told that Emanuel and Pocahontas lived next door to "Bell Star" it is a cool story, even if it is not true... Thank you....Cindi
I'm sorry I can't be more help on this particular surname but I do have a HENSON in my research but just as you have listed, I do not have a first name either. He married my 2nd cousin, Eather Dow HARBERSON / HARBISON bet. 1925 - 1930; I remember visiting her in the early 60's. She was an old woman by that time to me, I was under 10 years old. They lived near Atoka during the 60's but, at one time [I think] they lived near McAlester if I remember right! Other than that, I can't help you over his first name or whether he had been married previous to Eather or not. I'm sorry!! I only knew Eather as Aunt Eather and she wasn't even my Aunt ... she was my mother's 1st cousin. My mother was a late life child so all her cousins were 'years' older than her ... all the time! Shelia
Are there any Henson people out there who just might have a male Henson who owned a ranch outside of McAlester, OK, in about the 1923 era, who married a Jennie (Cole) Watson for a very brief time????? Sorry the Mr. Henson's firs name remains a mystery.
I guess it's just quiet right now. I haven't gotten anything from this list lately, either. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vivian Sternenberg" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 18, 2003 5:17 PM Subject: [OKGEN ] Testing > Hi, > Is the list just quiet, or? > > Researching Martin's in Hughes, Pittsburg Co. For all of you searching for YORKs in Oklahoma, there are several families listed in the Oklahoma Family Group Sheets website. For everyone else, go there and see if any of your family members have been entered. This is a great site to go and enter the information about the family members that you have. Oklahoma Family Group Sheets
