Hi, Thanks so much for trying to help. My opal eleanora (and that has shown to be spelled different ways) bullard's parents were James Washington Bullard (November 30, 1862Sevier County, AR- January 19, 1937-Avery, TX) who married Lucy Ellen Norris August 2, 1883 At Dekalb, TX. Lucy was born December 14, 1864-July 21, 1921-Avery TX. She may have been born in Lake Charles or Logansport, LA. I haven't found that out yet. Jenning, OK is in southern Pawnee county. My Oklahoma map shows it is south of the Cimarron Turnpike. Near the border of Pawnee county and Creek County. Other nearby towns are Hallet, Terlton and Quay. Hope this helps. Hi List, I was hoping someone out there could tell me where a Jennings OK might be. We were told that our ancestor, Sarah Elizabeth O'Quinn (Talley/Tally)? might be buried there. It isn't in our atlas so I am thinking it might be a very small town. This could really be a piece of our puzzle on this side of the family. Thanks. Diane O'Quinn [email protected]
The person was my grandmother, almost full blood Indian, her name was Opal Eleanora Bullard Taylor, she was supposedly in Avery, Tx on November 7, 1908. She married Edward Lee Taylor from TX in Red River County on October 3, 1927. she died in 1935 and is buried at Yarnaby Cemetery in OK. I know this to be true. They had one daughter, my mom, Doris Ellen Taylor. I can't find any trace of anything. Any help would be appreciated. Hey Barbara, I understand! My father was orphaned at 2œ in 1919. He lived with his maternal grandparents. Who did your father live with between 1916-1920? Have you joined the COLE and PAYNE surname mailing list? Have you checked www.genforum.com for your surnames? How old were your great grandparents in 1870? Do you mean the 1880 census instead of the 1890 census? Have you checked for the siblings of your grandparents who died? Where were they? Have you checked for the siblings of your great grandparents? Where were they? You can't find great grandparents after 1900? Why do you believe they died after 1900? Could they have died and been buried in Missouri? We have no birth index in Oklahoma that can be accessed, and state records only started in 1907. Your best bet is the 1900 , 1910 , 1920 and 1930 censuses. Another avenue would be to go to the Archives and research old newspapers. Leona
I am looking for anyone that can help me find anything on the George LINTON family that lives\ed in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. His was Hazel, his parents were Joe LINTON and Mary NICHOLS. I found where they are listed online in the cemetery, but two of George's sisters (may have) the wrong birth dates. It has the year of birth for them as 1886 about a month to two months apart. One born in February, and the other born April of the same year. I would like to find someone that can get (uncertified, the cheep) copies of birth, death, marriage, and anything else about this family. I will pay for copies and postage, just let me know before so I can allow for the money the next payday. One of George's sisters married a G.W. JONES. TINA

Tina, Your best bet is a death certificate. It would be the latest primary record for him. In the meantime, I will see if I can locate any information about him. You will be more likely to find a death certificate for them than a birth certificate, just write to the health department in the county where they died.
