Lois: I have requested information about my Conners before. It seems impossible to me that my great grandfather, grandmother, and all her brothers and sisters simply disappeared after the 1890 Oklahoma Territory Census. I am looking for marriages, deaths, school records, land records, anything .. for the following people, all of whom first came to Oklahoma in 1877 -- possibly with the Pawnee Indians who were removed from Nebraska...... Jefferson Conner - age 46 in 1890 William Eliphalet Conner - age 22 in 1890 Sarah A. Conner - age 30 in 1890 Malinda Conner - age 23 in 1890 Eva J. Conner - age 19 in 1890 Cyntha L. Conner - age 17 in 1890 David Conner - age 16 in 1890 Peter P. Conner- age 13 in 1890 Sara Conner, Jr. - age 3 in 1890 I know Malinda was a teacher in an Indian School, homesteaded in Kingfisher Co. , married , moved to Enid and eventually became quite wealthy. David also homesteaded in Kingfisher Co. My grandmother, Cyntha, married a William Beckner, but I don't know the date of the marriage. I don't find her again until 1900 - in Woods County, OK. All the others completely disappear. I am most interested in Jefferson Conner, my great grandfather -- and ofcourse, my grandmother's school and marriage records. All of the children were educated, so surely there are some school records. Can you help? Carole S. (in California)
