There was a Stacy Elza Barnes that was a brother to my great grandfather, Pleasant Lily (PL) Barnes. Thier parents were Elizabeth (Fosnight) and Isaac Barnes. Elizabeth and some of her sons including I believe Stacy made the run into OK in 1893. I thought I had a little more on him, but have only been able to locate this information. Born September 7, 1869 in Joliet, IN. Died 1949 in Armstrong, MO. I have his wife listed as Mary Almeda Smith. I am going on memory now, (very dangerous-ha), but believe he had 1 daughter. I don't think I had heard the bit about the horse shoes before. --interesting. Does this sound like the same person to you. Would love to keep in touch if it does.
