Hi! None, I would suggest that you do an indepth search of the Federal Census Records. I have found most of the needed information from them. Where was the family in each of the Census years, 1900, 1910, and 1920's? Have you found their families (or Surnames in the 'old home place' on the 1880 Census? The 1900 really is great for getting dates on the children's births. I searched for a number of years for my gggrandparents, (SCHOONOVER). One day, I decided to follow the rivers from West Virginia to Indian Territory (OK). I already had them in all prior years through 1860. I knew they left WV in mid-1860's and ended up in Muskogee IT by 1872. They weren't in WV in 1870. Having heard a talk on migrations, I decided to go to the river and look at every state that touched the Ohio River, then down the Mississippi River. I had earlier looked here and there and didn't find them. By starting with WV, then OH, IN, IL, KY, MO, and AR, checking each Index, I found them on the 1870 Census in the Southwest corner of Missouri. They were not on a major river or even a small river. But, I found them. If that river hadn't taken me to them, I would have found rivers going south and across to IT. If I hadn't done this step by step the way I did, I might still be looking for them. As you can tell, I am a big fan of the Census Records. Even if you find them on one census, find them on every Census that they were alive. Things change with each Census, such as, Ages, State they were born, State that their parents were born, how many years married, or how many children the mother has had and how many are still alive. Each Census could produce more children and their births. I hope this gives you some ideas to follow. Let me know if you find anything. My other ggrandmother who was in Enid in 1910, Mary Cuthbert Mangum/Mangan, disappeared from the local directory in 1912. I assumed she died. She was only 45 when my ggrandfather died in Muskogee in 1909. It never entered my mind that she might marry again. It should have. I was a widow for seven years and on my 60th Birthday got married. Wow, I sure felt dumb when I saw her name in the Marriage Liscenes Book. This was several years later when I found her marriage information. I was looking for her death certificate and also marriage records of her three daughtes and a sister, in the Enid Court House and found that in 1911 she married a Hiram Tarr. She didn't die but married. She is still missing but now I have another lead to follow. My husband retires today and we are looking forward to doing all the genealogiecal trips that we have wanted to do. We'll come back to OK and this time find Mary Cuthbert Mangum/Mangan Tarr. Good Luck. Thanks for reading this, I got kind of carried away. My greatgrandmother was Jennie Safronia GUNNING and married Charles Sylvester MCCOLPIN. They were married in Edgar Co., IL in 1894 but later moved to Enid, OK at least by 1902 as I have found references of a birth at that time. At any rate, I have some obits of GUNNING family members placing them in Enid and Canton, OK but am unable to establish a relationship to my great grandmother at this time. Any help would be appreciated. Kathryn, Thanks for the tip. I have ordered the 1910 Garfield Co. census but will check earlier census also. I have ordered a 1900 soundex for the Gunning name and hope I'll be able to learn something from that. I do know that they moved from IL to OK in early1900-1902, so I'm hoping that will narrow my search.
