Jim, I am Lois Goodpasture Burdick and I live in Enid, OK and am a member of the Garfield Co. genealogist. I will be glad to try and help you find information on your Gr GrandMother. First you say that you found them on the 1910 census and think she died 1905? Did you mean the 1900 census? I also found them in 1900 in Hackberry twns. She is listed as a wd having had 8 childreb and only one living (how sad). Her son-in- law living with her also two grandchildren. Joseph Nelson. In the 1901 city and county directory I have list her as Mrs. M.E. pinkerton, says she transfered pt. s/w 12-21-6 to Charles E. Pinkerton..I found a marriage record for Charles E, Pinkerton in our index number 481. This index is from 1893-1909.. I also found a record for Joseph Nelson 3506 so it would have been a later marriage. I was surprised that I didn't find a cemetry record for her. I have Enid Cemetery Books, Garfield Co., Cathloic records, etc. . I looked at the Probate records and didn't find any Pinkerton's listed from 1893-1916. On her land record I see the name of where she came from listed at Alix?? I couldn't find a record of where that might be. Maybe she was returned to where her husband died and buried? In the Enid Cemetery I found Charles E. Pinkerton 1877-May 1945 buried the 23rd Mary E. 1877-July 29, 1955 we have an obit in our file Betty June June 9, 1920-Dec. 1, 1925 Infant Pinkerton Aug. 15, 1926. In another plot I found Bertha Pinkerton, Nov. 4, 1883-Jan. 3, 1954 w/o Rev. Thomas Thomas, Rev. Pinkerton. In 1905 Tax records I found C.E. Pinkerton living in Waukomis City. If you would like a obit for Charles Pinkerton I can look to see if our old newspapers have one. Hope this is of some help. Lois Have you looked at the Garfield Co. records on the Genealogy web page?
