Dear List Members: My name is Kathleen Burnett. I am a cousin of Tammi Chada your past List Mom. I know I am stepping into a very large pair of shoes and will try hard to make them fit. I am a mother of four married children, and grandmother of nine. I am a list mom for over 40 mailing lists - some of them very large such as the Smith List with over 1000 members - you can see a list of them at http://www.angelfire.com/ut/kburnett2/mailing4.html I work full time outside of my home, but I am always as close as the e-mail. I encourage the sharing of genealogical information especially dealing with the subject of our list. I discourage the posting of non genealogical information such as political and religious messages, advertisements, virus warnings, etc. If you have something of this nature you would like to post - you should send it to me first so we can talk about it. If by chance one of our new members send out something of this nature - don't respond, know that I am taking care of it. Roll Calls are fine, if they are called for by me. I will give a beginning date and an ending date. If you feel the need of one, contact me and I will call for it. The one thing I do not allow on any of my list is cruelty to one another. If you have a problem with one of our members then I suggest you work it out in private with that person or contact me so I can step in. We need to remember that each of us are from different walks of life, parts of the world, different degrees of education, different degrees of expertise in family research, different politics and religions and many different ages groups.
