    3. I am the president of Garfield Co. Genealogy Inc. I also do a LOT of FREE lookups for people. For lookups that I have information at home, Enid Cemetery Books, tax records etc. BUT, the cost of printing and look up time is something I don't have an abundance of. The fee we charge helps to build up our material to make our Library a better place to research. If we didn't charge a fee for research we would have to quite our jobs and do nothing else. Right now I can't afford to do that. Thank you Lois Burdick ----- Original Message ----- From: <JRRowan@aol.com> To: <OKGARFIE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 28, 1999 4:53 AM Subject: [OKGARFIE-L] Re: OKGARFIE-D Digest V99 #22 > My Niece Lives in Lamont Ok and has gone to the Enid (Garfield Co) Ok libraray > for tons of information. I can't begin to tell you all the information she has gathered for our: Fowler, Hair family who lived most of the time in Enid Ok. (Buried there too.) 3. Hi Lois, Yes I have all the Enid Cemetry info re: Harry Monroe DAVIS and the names I sent to you previously. But no, I do have not all the Enid Cemetery info, just portions. The list you sent me has additional names I had not seen....THANKS! I am also trying to fill in the gaps on them while they were living. I am still looking for Wm & Ida's vitals/burials. I always list Harry Monroe DAVIS as a hopeful link to the others, since his info is confirmed. Sorry for any confusion. :( Thanks for your assistance with this! If you come across a spare William & Ida, please send them my way! :) Take Care! Thanks again. Marla :)

    3. I will answer several questions at once on the list. The Enid Cemetery Books are just for the old Enid Cemetery. The information is listed alphabetic , so no index is needed. The Block, section and lot are listed along with a map of the cemetery. Information on some marked and unmarked graves was provided by the Enid Cemetery records, obituaries and reading the head stones.. The records are from 1897 to 1997. The Garfield Co. Genealogy Sopciety have been collecting obituaries and have them in a file at the Library of Enid and Garfield County. There is a notation beside the name if we already have the obit in the file. However we are working to collects older ones, and add them. We do have two vol.cemetery books called Garfield County Cemetery Books. It was printed in 1974 so is not as up to date. This two vol set has more than 150 pages per vol. with an index in the back. It is also $40 per set +s/h. Ceneteries listed are: Vol. 1 Baldwin Banner Hill Bethany Bethel Collett Covington Del Norte Douglas Union Ebnezer Garber Hackberry Hayward Heithoil Hillsdale Imo Kremlin Lubber Lutheran, Breckenridge Lutheran, Garber Mennonite Brethren Church, North Enid Mennonite Brethren Church, Lahoma Landes, Family lot. Wood twns Vol. 2: McKinley Congregational North Marshal I.O.O.F Paradise Pleasant Valley Rose Hill Sample St. John Luthern St. Joseph Catholic Sunny Side Trinity Lutheran Waukomis Wesley M.E. Chapel (old) White Zion Lutheran, Lahoma Zion Lutheran, Fairmont Hope this helps clear up the information Lois

    1. [OKGARFIE-L] Catholic records for 1900
    2. I am trying to find a birth record for Theresa Pfeifer born 29 DEC 1900 around Enid, OK. Her father, Stephen Pfeifer, was a miner and may not have been right in Enid. I do know that the only records for that time may be baptism records so if I could find that, I would be happy. Does the Catholic church have the records at the Family Home Center or is there a historian for the Catholic church like Father White who had my records for McAlester? Thank you.
